[Could the answers be found on the props table at the SEX AND THE AUSTEN GIRL set??]
[SEX AND THE AUSTEN GIRL is the new comedy web series inspired by the novels RUDE AWAKENINGS OF A JANE AUSTEN ADDICT and CONFESSIONS OF A JANE AUSTEN ADDICT, in which two young women, one from Regency England and the other from 21st-century Los Angeles, swap bodies, time periods, and lives. In SEX AND THE AUSTEN GIRL the two ladies come together to debate the pros and cons of life and love and being a woman in today's world versus Jane Austen's time.]

good advice is beyond all price.

Somewhere there has to be a happy medium between that and where we are today, don't you think?

I know that in Jane Austen's time you were to wait until marriage. I remember watching "Lost in Austen" where the main character (who finds herself in Pride & Prejudice after walking through a door in the wall of her bath) tells Mr. Darcy that she lived with someone. He said she wasn't a maiden, and you could understand the heartache she felt.
