Can definitely see that, Haunted Orchid! :)) And Shaunesay, not weird at all. Thank you for participating and for putting so much thought into your entries!

Many thanks to all who entered--am gathering up all the entries from here, FB, and Twitter, and will do the draw later today.

I love HauntedOrchid's answer!

Mine is a little odd I think, but it's what came to mind. I love J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and my favorite Brother is Vishous. I think he would enjoy reading Sci-Fi Space epics, because he is a techie (he's the computer guy of the group) and I think that being out in space for him would be relaxing, since it would be far away from the thoughts of everyone that he can hear all the time in his own story. So maybe something like, 2001: A Space Odyssey, or Ender's Game (I think he'd respect/identify with Ender some).

Hope that wasn't too weird of an answer!

HauntedOrchid

I like to think that Hermoine would enjoy curling up with The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Cool giveaway/challenge. =)

One of my Twitter entrants suggested Mrs. Bennet of Pride and Prejudice reading TIGER MOM! So funny! Which made me think about other P&P characters: Mr. Collins secretly reading THE MONK; and Charlotte Collins reading THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY, because being married to Mr. Collins would make anyone enjoy a story about someone who gets away with murder. :)

You, too, Deb! Thanks for your fabulous entry! #Readathon

Well now...Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict is in my TBR pile, best get a reading it. Came highly recommended by two of my co-workers (library). Anyhow...Anne Shirley is an all time all time favorite. I imagine her reading and enjoying Little Women, but you know I seriously think she would love Emma!

Laurie Viera Rigler

Thanks, YogiKai. Love the Hunger Games, and that is a beautiful idea!

YogiKai

great contest! I would love for Kantiss and Peeta to discover and read a copy of Blakes Songs of Innocence/Songs of Experience. I think they would find solace and peace in the poetry :)

Laurie Viera Rigler

How about a favorite character I can't stand? Imagine Mr. Tulkinghorn of BLEAK HOUSE secretly reading Georgette Heyer novels.

Laurie Viera Rigler

I imagine my favorite character, Anne Elliot of PERSUASION, would love to read LITTLE WOMEN, because it would be her fantasy of a loving, closely knit family of sisters and a wonderful mom. Anne always feels so alone, surrounded by a materialistic father and sister, and her mother is gone. No limits of time period for these reads!

Laurie Viera Rigler

Love your answer, Courtney! Could definitely see Jane Eyre losing herself in those books.

Stilettostorytime.wordpress.com

I LOVE this question. My favorite character is Jane Eyre...we know as a child Jane enjoyed getting lost in books such as "Gulliver's Travels". She enjoyed traveling to other worlds to escape her own. I imagine if she were to be reading today she would enjoy fantasy classics such as "The Wizard of Oz" or "Alice in Wonderland".

Thanks for the great giveaway!

Nina, thank you for for making me laugh and for having such a wild imagination. Poor Atticus--if only that were his worst worry!

D

What a great question. I confess I've been thinking about this and procrastinating my own writing... Finally, I've decided,

Scout Finch of To Kill a Mockingbird reading Emma by Jane Austen and wanting to be light and irreverent like Emma, and that Atticus' problem was mainly the consistency of his gruel.

Love the thought of Miss Marple reading Jane Austen! And thank you for the kind words. :)

Annainenglish.wordpress.com

Well, one of my favourite characters of all times is Miss Marple. And I'm rather sure she would very much enjoy an Austen book, seeing as she is all about how people's minds work, much like Jane herself. And had Miss M been around now, I'm confident that she would very much like the Jane Austen-addict books too. :)
